Road to the mountains

This post is definitely late. 2 years and a bit late. It’s probably because I’ve been stuck at home not being able to go out much that I want to look back at this awesome road trip.

The other half and I went to visit his family  and friends in wonderful Calgary at the beginning of November 2014. It would be my second time in the city although the first time I didn’t get a chance to drive around much. I did get the chance to go to Banff before and it was beautiful as always. Luckily, at that time I got to see it during a nice sunny day. When we stopped over on this trip, it was a foggy and wet day so we didn’t stay long.

He suggested we go to Jasper and I immediately said “ya! Let’s do that!” Mostly because of my favourite doggy named Jasper and because it meant we’d drive through the glorious Rocky Mountains. Well, he’d be doing most of the driving. I absolutely wanted to take photos of the landscape. Such a beautiful landscape that I don’t think anything else in nature can beat it. In my experience that is. And I unfortunately lack in that experience. I do prefer mountain landscapes compared to water/ocean though because the ocean is a scary place. Which is why it makes me sad to hear that apparently the Rocky Mountains aren’t growing anymore but crumbling down slowly. Now don’t quote me on that. I’m not a geologists but that’s what I heard. I hope it’s not true though.

I can’t wait to go back and visit. We’re planning on hopefully next summer with baby and we’d visit not just her grandparents but also her great-grandparents who live in British Columbia. Where in BC? I can’t remember at this moment but I’ve never been there either so it’ll be exciting times!!
